The new facade at dusk
The brief

A residential building in Athens whose structure, core and base building were already drawn by another office. The owner wanted more from the same envelope: a facade worth looking at, and apartments that sell.

The move

Every floor was replanned so that living spaces face the Acropolis on one side and the sea light on the other. Terraces step back as the building rises. The palette is taken from the city: stone the colour of the hill, timber like shutters at dusk, brass like the late sun. Each apartment is resolved down to its furniture, so a buyer reads a home, not a diagram.
