The public walk by day
The brief

An existing seafront resort in Batroun with a pool, an old restaurant and a lot of paved ground, all turned inward. The owner wanted it to earn more from the same land, and the town needed its seafront back.

The move

A public promenade along the water, stitched to the resort. Broad new stairs connect the hotel and pool terraces down to a timber walk that runs end to end, with benches for the sunset, nets for the children and the restaurant and bar decks where the service begins. Hotel guests and Batroun families share the same edge of the sea.
