Every place already knows its building. I listen, then I draw.
I am a Lebanese born, London based architect. My work begins by hand and begins outside: with the sun, the ground, the wind, the water, the fire and the lives a building must hold. I design so that a space does more than shelter people. It should quiet them, gather them, and leave them a little closer to the best of themselves.
I trained for two years at the Lebanese American University in Beirut, then spent more than five years at the Architectural Association in London, completing Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3. I am an ARB registered architect.
I practice at Foster + Partners in London, and my experience includes Zaha Hadid Architects, SPPARC and DROO. Independent work spans houses, chapels and hospitality across Mount Lebanon and the Mediterranean, each project answering its own site, its own community and its own purpose rather than a fixed style.
